CFM Indosuez Wealth Management and the Compagnie des Ballets de Monte-Carlo celebrate 20 years of partnership during an exceptional evening, in the presence of Her Royal Highness the Princess of Hanover, on 23 October 2019

2019 marks 20 years of partnership and friendship between the Compagnie des Ballets de Monte-Carlo and CFM Indosuez Wealth Management. To celebrate this anniversary, an exceptional evening has been organised on 23 October 2019 at the Monte Carlo Opera House and previously unpublished photos will be exhibited in the bank's branches in November 2019.

During the evening (by invitation) which will be held in the “Salle Garnier” of the Monte Carlo Opera House, the Compagnie des Ballets de Monte-Carlo will perform “En compagnie de Nijinsky” (In The Company of Nijinsky): four ballets that reflect the mythical figure of Nijinsky: Daphnis et Chloé by Jean-Christophe Maillot, Le Spectre de la Rose by Marco Goecke, Petrouchka by Johan Inger and Aimai-je un rêve ? by Jeroen Verbruggen, accompanied by the Monte Carlo Philharmonic Orchestra, directed by Kazuki Yamada.
The evening will be followed by a dinner in the presence of Jean-Christophe Maillot and his dancers.

The exhibition of photos will celebrate art, excelling oneself and both individual and team work towards a common goal, all of which are values shared by the Compagnie des Ballets de Monte-Carlo and CFM Indosuez. It will present previously unpublished photos by Alice Blangero, the Compagnie des Ballets de Monte-Carlo’s designated photographer.

20 years of unfailing support, this is both significant and exceptional in the Principality of Monaco. For two decades, CFM Indosuez has supported us and helped us refine Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo, this superb instrument serving choreographic art. Our relationship is based on a deep mutual trust. This is the most invaluable factor and this explains why CFM Indosuez is our oldest official partner,” explains Jean-Christophe Maillot, Choreographer - Director of Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo.

The internationally recognised quality of Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo is a source of pride for the Principality. For CFM Indosuez, it is an honour and a pleasure to have supported them for 20 years. This partnership is in keeping with the Indosuez Group’s aim to promote excellence, expertise and passion, and thereby support talented people. Therefore, we expect to share in the writing of a common story with Les Ballets de Monte Carlo for many more years yet,” says Mathieu Ferragut, CEO of CFM Indosuez Wealth Management.

About the Compagnie des Ballets de Monte-Carlo

The current Compagnie des Ballets de Monte-Carlo came into being in 1985 thanks to HRH the Princess of Hanover who wanted to continue the long tradition of dance in Monaco and its famous “Ballets Russes”. Directed initially by Ghislaine Thesmar and Pierre Lacotte, and then by Jean-Yves Esquerre, it was with the arrival of Jean-Christophe Maillot in 1993 that the Company started to enjoy real international success due to the choreographies that he created for the Company and which are recognised around the world. Jean-Christophe Maillot has also enhanced his repertoire by inviting major choreographers of our era, but also enabling emerging choreographers to work with this exceptional instrument represented by his 50 dancers. In 2000, he set up the Monaco Dance Forum with Stéphane Martin. The Company regularly participates in this international dance festival. In 2011, under the Presidency of HRH the Princess of Hanover, Les Ballets de Monte-Carlo, directed by Jean-Christophe Maillot brought together three institutions: the Compagnie des Ballets de Monte-Carlo, the Monaco Dance Forum and the Académie Princesse Grace. Creation, distribution and training have now been brought together in Monaco within the same structure in order to serve choreographic art in a way not previously seen in the world of dance.
